Abstract
The cut flowers we will discuss this morning belong to the group of Specialty Cut Flowers or Summer Cut Flowers and comprise an extensive range of genera, species and cultivars in many types, forms and colors. The other major group of cut flowers are called Standard Cut Flowers and in this group we list Roses, Carnations, Gerbera, Chrysanthemum, Lilies and many others. They are grown on a large scale, often under climate controlled conditions, in many countries, and they are well-known both to the trade and the public.
