Abstract

In the last decade companies have become more aware of their responsibilities as full, active and responsible members of the community. Companies now recognize the need to set aside a proportion of their profits for reinvestment in the community, with such visionary concepts as the 1%, 2% and 5% clubs. The Business in the Community initiative opens up new channels of communication and liaison and demonstrates the “caring face of capitalism”.
