Abstract
320. The premises of an assertoric syllogism will yield a conclusion either when they are linked to a time or place in such a manner as to necessitate the middle term’s being the same, or when not linked, as in the case of the aforementioned ethical premises. But they will not yield unless the middle term is required to be the same, as was stated before.
