Abstract

The work carried out during the last decade in the field of poly (organophosphazene) photochemistry is described, with particular emphasis on the parameters able to influence the photochemical activity of these materials. The versatility of the synthetic method used for the preparation of poly(phosphazenes) is evaluated as a tool to prepare phosphazene polymers of predictable photochemical behavior; possibilities of practical utilization of these materials in photochemical field are also suggested.
