Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((ASIC,volume 366))

Abstract

“The constellation of Virgo, especially the northern wing, is one of the constellations that includes most nebulae. This catalogue includes 13 numbered (M) 49, 58, 59, 60, 61, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90 & 91. All these nebulae appear to have no stars. They can be seen only in a very clear sky when they are close to the meridian. Most of these nebulae were given me by M. Mechain”.
