Abstract

Table 4.1 displays various aggregate indicators for three cases of the benchmark solution, using the Table 3.4 parameter values, for the initial period (t = 1), and also for a future period (t = 25) approximately one generation later, interpreting time periods as years. The aggregate indicators include output/income (Q = Σ yi ), the Gini coefficient of consumption (GC = consumption Gini), the Benthamite social welfare measure sum of utilities (SW = Σ ui ). private saving (PS = Σ si ), social saving (SS), total saving (TS = PS + SS), and next-period capital (Kt+1 = K t + TS t )
