Abstract

The most important of Brentano’s papers on the theory of truth together with some of his letters on the subject were collected by Oskar Kraus in Wahrheit and Evidenz and then translated into English in 1966 under the title The True and the Evident. In his book of 1965, Jan Srzednicki sets out the evolution of Brentano’s theory from his initial version of traditional correspondence theory to his so-called evidential theory of truth.
