Abstract
Using a sterilized hollow fiber as microdialysis probe, placed subcutaneously and a glucose biosensor, we were able to monitor the variation of glucose during a glucose load (in the bloostream with rabbit and oral with humans). The technique revealed good stability of the glucose sensitivity of the probe during the experiments (up to three hours) and a fair correlation of the glucose values in blood and subcutaneously. In few cases with humans (3 of 15) we found a delay of 30 min.
