Abstract

The 5-HT3receptor directly gates an ion-channel. This makes it unique among the receptors for 5-HT. This unique nature is reflected in some of the characteristics of this receptor. In this review we give an overview of the characteristics of the 5-HT3receptor focusing on the more interesting features.
