Abstract
Most symptoms of diseases are exhibited by an irregular course of attacks. For example there is asthma, epilepsy, cluster headache, migraine and different types of tachycardia. All of these examples have a chronic and episodic form. It is the irregular pattern of the attacks which affects the patients quality of life. How to cope with the sudden onset of an attack is not only uncomfortable for the patient but a source of anxiety and concern over the ability to continue to function as usual. However, there is the old cliché: “You will have to live with it”.
