Gulf war impact on land resources

  • Chapter
The Gulf War Aftermath

Part of the book series: Environment & Assessment ((ENAS,volume 4))

Summary

The impact of the Gulf war on the land resources of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq was expected to be disastrous. The approach adopted to evaluate damages to the land resources in these countries is to consider all the collected data and to summarize war-related activities that could effect land resources, identify vulnerable components of land resources, and then assess damage. The impact of the Gulf crisis on the land resources are discussed with reference to soil, vegetation, wildlife, agriculture, and water.
