Abstract
Many insect species, both harmful and beneficial, colonize oilseed rape. As with many other crops, the incidence and importance of insect pests tend to increase with the area and frequency of cropping. Where rape has been grown regularly on a farm or in the vicinity, damage by pests is likely to occur.
