Abstract
We consider here a wide class of control problems for quasilinear oscillatory and rotatory systems on an asymptotically large time interval by applying a small control force. We develop an approximate solution technique based on the combination of Pontryagin’s maximum principle [131, 40] and the asymptotic methods of nonlinear mechanics [38, 149, 150, 35, 36, 45, 74, 98, 119, 137]. Some problems which can be interpreted in terms of mechanics are investigated to a first approximation.
