Abstract
Decreasing volume by applying pressure produces in many Cr alloy systems Cr1-xAx changes in the magnetic phase diagram similar to decreasing the concentration x of the dopant A. The experimental data are reviewed, and the failure to explain this close parallelism between the effects of pressure and composition is discussed.
