Abstract

We continue the investigation of the entropy production functional

$$ S\sigma = \int L \sigma dxdt = \int {\left( {\Phi + \Psi } \right)dxdt} $$

subject to the conservation law constraints. The properly expressed entropy source σs, or the sum of the flux-dependent and gradient-dependent dissipation functions, plays the role of the kinetic potential Lσ.
