Abstract

The problem of considering eddy currents in elements of electrical machines and apparatus, especially materials with comparatively high electrical conductivity (skin effect), is a traditional one for electrical engineering and is well studied. Practical aspects of this problem has determined two specific features of its statement, which are completely described in literature (see, e.g. N.N.Fedorov [20]):

    Consideration of steady-state harmonic oscillations.

     
  2. 2.

    Extraction and detailed consideration of the solution part determining energy dissipation due to eddy currents.
