Abstract

As we have seen, Concretism comes in two flavors, neither of them vanilla. The Relentless Meinongian simply refuses to explicate either the inclusive quantifier “(∃x) M ” or the more restricted actuality operator, while Mature Lewis equates “(∃x) M ” with our own perfectly serious use of “There exists” but then explicates “actual” in terms of spatiotemporal dislocation.
