Abstract
Signal averaging is a gated summation of high temporal resolution surface ECG signals from several hundred beats, resulting in a high signal-to-noise ratio1. The technique has been used to study low voltage potentials at the end of the QRS complex2–12. These studies revealed high frequency low-amplitude signal in the terminal segment of the QRS complex in a large proportion of patients at risk for the development of ventricular tachycardia.
