Abstract
The question “What is special about phenomenology of religion?” may mean, depending upon where one places the emphasis, either “What is special about phenomenology of religion, compared to other ways of philosophically dealing with religion (such as rational theology)?”, or “What is special about the phenomenology of religion qua phenomenology, that is to say, as compared to, e.g., phenomenology of perception?”
