Abstract
Kondo: We will now have a panel discussion on the new generation space telescopes. I would first like to refer you to IAU Colloquium No. 123: Observatories in Earth Orbit and Beyond. It is somewhat dated (1990) but it’s more extensive than our current discussions can be: the project presentations here have to be rather concise. Finally, during the panel discussions, I invite my co-panelists to identify plans and wishes for experiments and projects in the future. There is a long delay between the time of conception and launch (10–15 years, or even longer). If there is any way to shorten this, we might have healthier and more timely experiments. Try to think far ahead.
