Abstract

Predicting the future correctly is impossible. Nonetheless, it is possible to offer some opinions on future trends in printing and imaging. However, because of the dramatic and rapid changes that have occurred in the last decade or so, such predictions are risky. The degree of risk in predicting the short-term (next five years) future is relatively small, but is extremely high for more longer-term (ten years or more) predictions.
