Abstract
The search for the missing link between diffuse interstellar bands (DIB) and UV continuum extinction is reviewed. Indeed, there are significant correlations between DIB strength and the shape of the UV extinction curve, which put constraints on both the nature of the DIB carrier and the origin of certain UV extinction features.
