Abstract

Some years ago, when first reviewing the literature about the self (García Torres, 1989), I was complaining about the terminological and conceptual chaos in the field. Twelve years later there are many more names, new constructs have been formulated, but I don’t complain anymore. The reason is that in these years things have changed, and are changing for good.
