Abstract

This paper examines the underlying reasons why any information skills course for nursing students needs to be flexible, basing the objectives of such a course on the needs of the participants. The content of such a course offered at the University of Wales College of Medicine is presented in detail along with methods of delivery, timing and ideas for supporting documentation stressing how all of these are designed to be flexible. Finally, methods of evaluation and feedback are discussed.
