Part of the book series: International Astronomical Union / Union Astronomique Internationale ((IAUS,volume 166))

Abstract

CCD transit telescopes are now determining star positions at faint magnitudes (i.e., down to V ~ 17 mag) and with accuracies as good as ~ ±150 mas. CCD parallaxes with errors ~ ±1 mas are now being determined routinely in time periods less than 3 years.
