Abstract
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) have possibly been the subject of more research attention than any other group of organohalogen compounds. Nonetheless, they still represent a challenge to the environmental chemist and ecotoxicologist who wishes to understand their complex environmental fate and behaviour, and potential effects on ecosystems.
