Abstract
Hemodialysis is a treatment which aims to remove accumulated metabolic waste products and to correct blood electrolyte composition by means of an exchange between patient’s blood and a dialysate fluid mimicking normal extracellular fluid, across a semi-permeable membrane (Figure 2-1).
