Abstract

Three-dimensional (3D) display attracts many people engaged in medical imaging, since it is useful for comprehension and measurement of the structure, and the functions of tissue through its image. 3D display is a broad interdisciplinary issue, but much attention is focused on ultrasound 3D echography, specially in ophthalmology in this paper. Several related 3D technologies are reviewed and current state of the arts and problems including image processings will be discussed. Finally future trends in 3D images will be described.
