Abstract

When a history is taken from a patient with a laryngeal problem, there is an opportunity of simultaneously examining his or her voice. There are only two vocal symptoms:
  • aphonia
    • Here there is no voice, a whisper or air wastage.

  • dysphonia or hoarseness
    • Here the voice is rough.
