Abstract

Presentation Dermatitis herpetiformis is essentially a disease of adults; it is extremely rare in childhood. It may occur in the late teens, but it most commonly begins in the third and fourth decades (Figure 6.1). However, it may appear for the first time later in adult life. Males and females seem to be equally affected.
