The Demonstration of a Porometer for Physiological and Ecological Investigations

  • Chapter

Abstract

In connection with the importance of stomatal movement in water stress in plants we must determine stomatal movement. We have some methods for stomatal closure determination but it seems to be necessary to look for new more simple and quick methods. Such methods would be of great importance for ecological and agricultural investigations. I would like to present a very simple porometer (Fig. 1).
