Abstract

‘While still several hundred yards away, a motorcyclist was observed by the driver of an oncoming motor car to be ‘asleep’. The driver stopped, and waited helplessly while the motorcycle ran into his car.’ This episode was reported in the daily press under the headline: ‘The Dead Motor Cyclist Rode On’.
