Abstract

Dieckvoss opened the meeting with the following statement:

  • J’ai préparé un texte français pour payer hommage aux contributions magnifiques de nos collègues français. Grâce aux activités des présidents français (Baillaud, Couderc, Sémirot) de la commission et en général de la dévotion exceptionelle des quatre observatoires en France qui participent à la formation du Catalogue Astrographique la tâche principale est finie; Nous possèdons un véritablement grand catalogue des positions précises des époques anciennes, données supérieures pour la détermination des mouvements propres des étoiles faibles comme une possibilité d’étudier la kinématique de la voie galactique et peut-être assister à fixer un système inertial. M. Lacroute vous donnera une résumé historique des travaux sur la Carte du Ciel.
