Abstract
The last chapter revealed the manner of composition employed by Aquinas in his Commentary; the investigations in the present chapter will reveal much the same thing. This chapter in a very true sense is a continuation of the last; although Chapter IV dealt with the object of metaphysics, and the present chapter with the relation obtaining between metaphysics and the other sciences, the two chapters complement one another, for the nature of the object determines the relations of metaphysics to the other sciences.
