Abstract

The title of this talk might suggest a bird’s eye view of the formal mathematical representation of physical quantities. Professor van Fraassen, instead, selected a very specific, but most fundamental problem, namely that of the statistical aspects of quantum mechanics and its underlying systems of logic.
