Abstract

Latitudinal and conjugate observations of ULF variations near L= 4 during the December 17, 1971, magnetic storm are discussed. The temporal variations in the latitude of the peak power in the 10 to 15 mHz band may be indicative of plasma density gradients in the magnetosphere. Diurnal variations are observed in the signal coherences between the observations at the several stations.
