Biogeography and Ecology in New Zealand

Part of the book series: Monographiae Biologicae ((MOBI,volume 27))

Abstract

In 1960 I reviewed the littoral ecology and biogeography of the southern oceans (Knox, 1960) and three years later the biogeography and intertidal ecology of the Australasia coasts (Knox, 1963). In a decade since the latter of these reviews considerable advances have been made in our knowledge of the composition, distribution and systematics of the New Zealand benthic marine flora and fauna.
