Abstract

In this report we present preliminary results on adaptation of ant populations to an environment heavily polluted by a nitrogen plant. These adaptations consist of changes in the number and development of ant populations and modification of the microhabitat within ant nests.

Project “man and Environment “ supported by the committee of the polish Academy of sciences.
