Abstract
The paper by Robin Hogarth was very interesting to read in that it attempted to tie down in more concrete terms some of the variables that have been floating around in the decision making literature. Although the author states that the model he presents can be used to ‘explain’ a variety of conflicting empirical evidence, I think he could have been a bit more specific on this latter point in terms of what particular conflicting empirical evidence the model might explain. By examining this evidence, the model could potentially suggest alternative research approaches to answer some of the questions that might be raised.
