On Mechanisms and Treatments of Metal Allergies

Abstract

As is well known the skin forms a barrier between the human body and the surrounding. It protects the body against alien and toxic material from the environment which may injure and upset the normal metabolism if it were allowed to penetrate into the living cells. The effect of skin diseases is therefore not only local but may seriously perturb the functioning of the whole body.
