Abstract

The light-reactivity of flavins has been of interest since the recognition that the vitamin B2 activity extracted from natural materials was attributable to yellow, fluorescent compounds, which were subsequently found to function as oxidation-reduction coenzymes bound to appropriate proteins (1).
