Sommaire
Nova Cyg 1975 est la plus brillante nova apparue depuis33 ans. Elle a subi une variation d’éclat supérieure à 19 magnitudes, jamais observée jusque là. C’est une nova extrêmement rapide. Après le maximum, son déclin est caractérisé par une diminution d’éclat de 3,9 magnitudes en 3 jours. Sa distance est estimée à 1300 parsecs environ.
Les observations ont été effectuées en partie à l’Observatoire de Haute Provence (CNRS).
