Abstract

Livestock feed embraces all the food requirements of not only domesticated livestock, including poultry and fishes, but also wild life. The latter concerns the management of game and other wild life habitats, a complex subject which will be only briefly considered here. The needs of bees and other useful invertebrates such as silkworms, lac insects, dye insects, manna-producing insects, edible insects, etc. are dealt with in Chapter 11.
