Abstract

We explore the modified Ruderman & Sutherland (1975) spark model in order to explain and reproduce patterns of drifting subpulses in pulsars. We demonstrate that if the observing geometry is determined, these patterns are fully explained by values of pulsar period and slow-down rate. As the best example we present the case of PSR B0943+10, for which were able to reconstruct detailed map of sparks corresponding to the observed pattern of drifting subpulses.
