Abstract

The Sun’s magnetic field plays the most vital role in creating, maintaining and structuring all the interesting phenomena we observe in the solar atmosphere. In particular, recent observations from Yohkoh, SOHO and TRACE reveal the corona to be a complex and dynamic environment where the magnetic field interacts with the solar plasma over a wide range of time-scales.
