The Effect of Azimuthal Magnetic Field on the Magnetostatic Models of Sunspots

Abstract

The magnetostatic modeling provides a simple and speedy method to model the erupted magnetic features. The assumption of magnetostatic equilibrium is reasonable for any periods smaller than the average life time of sunspots.
