Abstract
In this Chapter we face the problem of putting forward a theory (just sketched in [39] and [40]) for representing default rules by means of a suitable coherent conditional probability, defined on a suitable family of conditional events. 1 William of Ockham (a village in the English county of Surrey) was a 14th century logician (and Franciscan friar).
