Abstract

The main purpose of this contribution will be to try to point out in which way human communication, and above all mass-media communication, can be regarded as a process and one able to foster the creation of “new shapes of life.” We’ll start from Baudrillard’s thesis on the relation between social communication and the human world of imagery, focusing on other authors’ recent studies, for example, Enzensberger, and keeping also in mind the classical conception of media worked out by McLuhan.
