FEM study of Coulter Counter with Water-Based Adaptable Aperture

  • Conference paper
Micro Total Analysis Systems 2002

Abstract

A FEM study for a Coulter counter with a water-based aperture is presented. A comparison of measurement results and FEM shows that diffusion of species can be modelled accurately. The minimum and maximum flowrates for this device are determined by diffusion of species and non-laminar flow behaviour, respectively.
