Abstract

I review the physics of cold, dense quark matter. I describe the phenomena of color superconductivity, color-flavor locking and crystalline color superconductivity, focussing on the physical properties of these condensed phases of QCD rather than on calculation^ methods. I close with a look at consequences for the physics of compact stars.
